Sometimes, your parents or guardians might have input on what you watch, and that’s okay! They want to help you make good choices. But, you also have the power to make choices for yourself. You can be strong and discerning, and choose to watch things that align with your values and goals.
Here are some questions to ask yourself for Mindful Watching:
- Is what I’m watching making me feel happy and inspired, or is it making me feel sad or bored?
- Is what I’m watching teaching me something new and valuable, or is it just wasting my time?
- Is what I’m watching aligning with what I want to achieve in life, or is it distracting me from my goals?
If you find that what you’re watching isn’t aligning with your values and goals, it’s okay to change the channel or turn it off! You have the power to choose what you watch and choose things that will help you grow and learn. To make this even easier, consider using a time blocker to schedule dedicated periods for watching content that aligns with your goals and values, ensuring you stay on the right path.
